Recently, some of our customers and non-customers alike received a text message stating that First Midwest Bank was in need of account information and instructing you to enter your account or card number. This text WAS NOT sent by First Midwest Bank. The authorities indicated that this was an out of state scam and involved many different banks.

First Midwest Bank will never text you, nor will we ask you to provide us with your account number or card number. To protect your account information, you should NEVER provide your account number or card number to a caller.
